Must Have Monday!

Avaeli Couture Jewelry Design!  Definitely a Must Have for me!  I purchased one of these fabulous pieces at a jewelry party a friend of mine was having.  It is by far one of my favorite pieces and I wear it often.  My sister was getting married at the time and I had a necklace made with the birthstones of her and her fiance's and a circle with the date of their wedding.   It was the perfect bridal shower gift!

While their catalog features jewelry from artists around the world, the hand-stamped collection is designed and made by the owner, Jennifer Woodall.  This collection is truly unique and the pieces make such special gifts for loved ones. You can read all about Jennifer and her love of jewelry design on her website. Be sure to sign up for their monthly newsletter.  I love seeing her new designs and reading about how she has sent some pieces to celebrities such as Mariah Carey for her new twins and Alicia Keys!

Ellipse Fitness Workout!

MUST HAVE: A KICK Start to your morning

This weekend my family and I attended a special community workout developed by the instructors at Ellipse. We enjoyed a heart pumping workout with the kids. (Literally, my husband and I took turns doing squats and lunges while holding our youngest.) The trainers offered great advise and tips about modifying exercises to help each person be more successful, along with adding helpful advise for healthy eating.

I have no idea what move my daughter was pulling off here but at least she's moving!

Up and Down with added weight!

We made our way around the gym in stations and then ended with a fun relay race which included frog jumping, crab walking and bear crawls. My daughter had an amazing time and can't wait to workout as a family again.

Trainer Natasha working with the little ones.

Owner Ann wrapping things up. FYI, keep your balance while stretching by holding your ear! Who knew?
This month marks my 1 year anniversary with Ellipse and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results of this program. Ellipse Fitness has a unique boot camp style class structure that keeps you engaged and challenged. Kickboxing is amazing! Start your morning with a Kick!

Ellipse is located on Telegraph in Oakville, MO and is open Monday-Saturday. Become a fan on facebook for the latest class updates. Ellipse Fitness St. Louis

Must Have Tea Party!!

I went to a fabulous bridal shower yesterday and had to share the experience!  It was a tea party theme!  Our host, Angie, had the tables set up so beautifully with pitchers of tea, tea pots with hot water and varieties of tea bags to enjoy, cookies and many other fancy trimmings.  She had menus set at each place describing each course she served.

My 3 girls were also invited and had a wonderful time too.  They dressed up and enjoyed their tea and finger sandwiches (peanut butter and jelly) along with all the other ladies.  It was just like Fancy Nancy for the little ones!

Of course, one of the cutest decors were the "tea bag" party favors Sosia had made for the occasion.  We put wrapped our "honey tea" soap like tea bags with labels saying "Sarah's bridal Par-Tea".  It was by far one of the most enjoyable showers I've experienced (and I've been to many)!

Paws-itively Amazing Kona Coffee!

Recently, we introduced our new Peppermint Pedicure Packs which include 2 foot soaks and a Kona Coffee Scrubbing bar. Ever wonder where we get our Kona Coffee? Sosia uses beans from the Dog Gone Good Coffee Company located in beautiful Holualoa, Hawaii.

The Dog Gone Good Coffee Company is a small, 21/2 acre farm with about 200 coffee producing trees. It is owned and operated by Paul and Bonnie Bangert; an adventurous couple who are up for anything! Among their many interests are kickboxing, painting and reading, for Bonnie while Paul enjoys baseball (especially the Chicago Cubs), skydiving and antiques.

They live on the farm with their 2 dogs, Tanka and Nellie. The dogs are responsible for guarding the property and often travel with Paul and Bonnie as they pick the coffee fruit during harvesting. The entire crop is handpicked at various times during coffee season. As the coffee fruit, called cherry ripen they will change color from green to red. Even on the same branch cherries will ripen at varying paces. A single tree can bloom 5 to 6 times each year.

Each package of Dog Gone Good Coffee advertises that it is “Animal Tested and Approved”. Tanka and Nellie enjoy the sweet flavor of the seeds that have fallen from the trees. They will rest in the shade and enjoy their coffee snack as everyone else is hard at work.

Most enjoy this coffee, after roasting! (sorry dogs) The mild Hawaiian climate, volcanic soil and blend of sunshine and afternoon rains provide the perfect canvas to create this special coffee crop. Kona coffee is hailed as some the world’s best. Dog Gone Good goes above and beyond basic standards for harvesting, washing and drying their coffee beans to provide fresh, full flavored Kona Coffee. The fruit is picked and washed by hand. The beans are then roasted in small batches to ensure the freshness of each package.

At Sosia, we take our coffee loving to the next level! Not only do we appreciate the quality of the aroma and flavor of these coffee beans, we relish the benefits of their grounds as well. We’ve added ground Dog Gone Good beans to our pedicure scrubbing bar for extra exfoliation and deodorizing. The caffeine found in coffee is also known to help smooth skin.

These amazing 100% Kona Coffee Beans are sold by the pound and can be found locally at the Aloha Nail Company. If you’re like us and admire the mountains of Kona from afar you can contact The Dog Gone Good Coffee Company through email by clicking HERE. They will be happy to ship your coffee to your doorstep.
