Hula in St. Louis

Hula Halau

The Ho'ike was a success! Congrats to all the performers on a great evening! Thank you to Kumu Dori Neumeier and the entire Halau for welcoming our family into such a wonderful group. Avery had a great time and looks forward to learning more.

This was my daughter's first experience on stage, or at least on a large stage. She has always commanded an audience at home! This past Saturday, Avery joined the Hui Hula O'Punahele Hula Halau in their annual Ho'ike or recital. She performed two hula dances.

Avery caught the hula bug last year and is recruiting her younger brother to join. The dances and music are contagious! The kids are constantly dancing around the house. It's a joy for the entire family!

If you are interested in Polynesian dance classes or learning more about the Halau you may visit their website HEREor become a fan on facebook HERE.
